Default 243 Head Servicing

Yes I did a search. Quite an extensive one at that.

I just picked up some 243s off an 04 LS6 Z06. I am wanting to send them off to get CNC'ed, valve job, new valves, the works basically.

I have looked into the following companies so far that I have found.

- Total Engine Airflow (TEA)
- Advanced Inductions (AI)
- Texas Speed (I'm sure they could do it but not offered on site that I saw)

I know there are more companies out there that do the head servicing that I am wanting. If anyone knows of the other please list them and I will look into them.

As of the current moment I am leaning towards sending them to TEA for the work to be done. They have good flow numbers and a great history behind them. Bigger valves are used on the intake side and they supply me with the actual flow chart of my heads when done.

What does everyone think? What/who would you go with and why?

Thanks guys

I say this, what cam are you going to use. What company does this company use most to do cam matching for heads, and go that route. No matter how good of work is done to heads if you do not match your cam you are going to be leaving something on the table period. Figure who's cam ur going to use and then ask them who they use to do head work.

I have an Ed Curtis Cam and he works with AI. You can see my results of a Stage 1 243 with LS6 valves and Comp 921 springs shifting at 6800, red-line at 7K and my tsp/ws set set at 6600

Good luck with ur choice.

+1 TEA they do great work they should have no problem hooking you up with heads that will work for that cam.
