Default Will i have to flycut?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of PRC LS6 stage 1 heads.

I will be running them in conjunction with a Vengeance Racing 228/230 .588/.592 112 LSA.

Will i have to fly cut with this set-up?

Most likely not, but always check piston to valve clearance when you diy. I think you can run an ms4 cam with those heads btw which is bigger

Install and degree the cam, put on the heads with an old gasket and measure. Only way to tell.

I was going to get the WS6store head and cam gasket package so i am presuming the multi-layer head gasket is a standard GM one.

It does not list the chamber size on their website, i would assume 62cc.

Could milling these to 59cc increase my CR with out the need to fly cut? How about a different gasket as well?

You will need to check PTV clearance. Thats the safest way to be sure. For reference, I have PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L heads with 59cc chambers and I was told with a stock LS1 and stock MLS Head Gaskets, the biggest cam that Texas speed has put in there is a 228r cam, but they also told me to measure first.

Ok, i am not going to be doing this install myself (lack of time to be honest). I am just really trying to make sure i do this right and wont run into any issues, not that i would have a problem with fly cutting, just wanted to know so i could adjust my budget accordingly.

But thanks alot cabech984

I wouldn't think you would have to cut but I would still check. After you check you can decide then if you want to mill the heads more.

Is there any opportunity to change the head gasket to bump up compression?
