difference between GTP's 4.8 vs 5.3 vs 5.7 heads?

i have the S2+ 5.3 L heads... i asked craig the same thing and he said the cumbustion chamber were different sizes. 4.8 will yeild more CR than the other two. i would go with the 5.3s. Craig has some of the best port available, give him a call, you will be amazed at the info this guy has.

I like the 5.3's for more compression with less milling for bigger cams as mentioned above. TEA has some of the best 5.3's on the market IMO. TEA also offers hand touch ups for more power with the 5.3's and I think that is well worth it. I have an older set of 5.3's and things have improved since Nov of 02. My other contenders would be Absolute or MTI's S2E's in a that price range. GTP is good however it will be higher. In the GTP price range, I think TEA S2.5's will be very hard to beat..

I agree totally...Craig ported a set of 6.0 heads for my upcoming 383 stroker/ blower setup. I got the heads back 2 weeks ago and man they are sweet!!! And he's a great person to talk too. He will talk to you on the phone and tell you what he'll do to your heads to get them perfect for your project. Great person to deal with.

4.8/5.3 are the same cylinder head. I have used 3 different sets of GTP 5.3l stage 2 heads on my car and have seen nothing lower than 442rwhp/410rwtq, with a best of 460rwhp/418rwtq with the solid roller.
I have installed many sets of GTP stage 2s and the 5.3l are the ones that make the best power due to the extra compression and ever so slightly better flow.
