they are a very good company i wouldnt hesitate to use them.as long as your ring end gaps are properly set and you have a good cross hatch on your cylinders your fine.

I think it depends what you are doing. Mahle builds a great piston but it does not feature the same forging as some of the other brands out there. If you are looking to hit the motor with some heavy nitrous or boost I would recommend looking into a Wiseco or Diamond piston. They come with a stronger forging, and the Wisecos even come with a GFX steel top/napier 2nd ring set.

well i am thinking about running a 200 wet shot in the motor max. probably a 150 jet most of the time. but the thing is im gonna build a LQ4 .30 over with the stock rods, and im gonna top it off with a LS3 top end. i have only seen like two different pistons that i can actually use. im looking for a flat top with a little bit of valve relief. i came across some diamond pistons that i belive would work for me but it didnt tell me how much relief was in them. thats why i asked about the Mahles.

There pistons are awesome, and there rings are perfectly flat and square for superb sealing. But I got to warn you, the oil rings can be a **** to put on though.
