Default Valve-to-cylinder wall clearance. Advice, please!

I think I might have a problem using 243 heads with 2.02/1.57" valves in my 5.3. They measure across the intake and exhaust valve as being 3.720" at the widest distance across both valves in the head... and the bore of the 5.3 is just 3.780". This leaves only .060 total or just .030 inches clearance from the side of each valve to the cylinder wall... and this is if the head lines up perfectly. Is anyone thinking these valves are too tight for this bore?

Here's the measurement. I think I'll be notching the cylinders. Anyone care to comment?
