Do a search, no one person is going to give you same answer on which cam to use. Popular cams like the 224 cams and 220 cams may be more what you are looking for or you could go with a hotcam if you want a chopey idle or a stealth cam if you want a near factory idle. Point is there are lots and lots of cams out there and you need to do your homework before you decide......

a converter will make your car faster than all those combined and will be ALOT cheaper.Should be your first mod.

Should I forget the Cam, and go for a TC? I really don't want to go the Cam route.

Headers, catback, and lid are great. But I would get a converter before a cam. My car made 305 rwhp with headers, loudmouth, lid, and a SS3800 converter. It probably would have been around 320 rwhp with a stock converter. Don't get me wrong, a 305 rhwp car with a big converter is going to kill a 320 rwhp car with a stock converter.

for an auto car... the first mod should be the TC... and go atleast with a 3600. Then get all the bolt ons that you listed.

Thanks for all the info. I have decided to wait on the Cam. Will have everything else done next week. Will post numbers on gains with the exhaust, LS1 Edit after done. Will install Cam and TC later.

A good torque converter will have a bigger impact on performance than ANYTHING you have listed.
