Mine has been very durable. 0 problems, 53K miles,100 track runs (drive to the track a minimum of 115 miles one way), a very mod friendly engine. I think you will find alot of LS1 owners like me. How many engines have a website like this dedicated to it?

compared to what?
In general the motor is very reliable even at elevated power levels. There are now stock bottom end LS1 based motors pushing out over 500hp at the rear wheels. Rob Raymer of QMP using their turbo kit has put down over 700hp at the wheels with a stock 100,000+mile LS1 engine.
My advice would be to go into the Forced induction and Nitrous areas and look at what kind of failures they are having in their vehicles. The majority of people aren't breaking their LS1 based motor they are busting the parts that have to handle the power that engine is making.
