Scat was unable to deliver whem I tried to deal with them.
Lunati and Callies both have forged cranks for the gen 3.
They both seem about the same. One thing I noticed is the trigger wheel on the callies comes already welded to keep it from turning but you need to turn a radius in front of the 1st main if you run a jesel belt. The Lunati needs the stitch weld to lock the wheel but the front is ready for the belt drive.
Brook at callies says he is going to cut the cranks for belts on the next order I get and may cut them all.
Good luck

I believe there plan is to stock them eventually. They have a longer leadtime than most company's. They normally work in higher volume's.

I have a SCAT Crank. Ordered it 5 years ago, back in March of 99, it took about 11 months to get it.

They told me 4 weeks... I called them 4 weeks later and they said "what crank" OUCH, there's 4 weeks of my life I won't get back.
They have made some gen 3 cranks and sold them for sure. Nice looking parts that they had at SEMA.

ya, originally it was 16 weeks. they screwed it up the first time and it took another 16 weeks, then they forgot to put on the reluctor and it had to go back. when it was all done it was 11 months!! I was extremely mad considering I spent 3k on the crank and was supposed to be one of the first or the first LS1 stroker. THANKS SCAT!!!

5 years later, I'm almost in the 10s' god what a nightmare.

I was quoted $2800 for billet. I think the guy's name was Gene? This was a year ago and I am sure that they can't get that much for a crank.

Scat and Eagle cranks are coming in from offshore to lower prices.
Scat billet stuff is made here from imported steel from england i believe. The billet cranks are very high quality and the offshore stuff is not.

trust me, you will not break the forged. yea they are imported but still a good product or they will not sell them. i would say to buy the billet if you plan on running more then 1200hp but thats it. i have had several of there forged rods before and never broke any.
