Default main caps help

Ok we took the main caps off the ls1 motor and well we forgot which cap goes to which crank number. Does it matter ? How freely should the crank turn with pistons and rods installed.

The numbers are printed/indented on them. 1 through 5.

Cap #1 would be front end of the block, keep in mind, caps 1 through 4 face the same direction, #5 faces the opposite way.
