Default TEA head users.....come on in

How satisfied are you guys with these heads? Looking for the stage 3 LS6 heads for my 408 build. How did you guys do the core exchanges, just send them in bare 243/799 heads and they take care of it from there? I wanted some AFR but still are like $600 more and don't fell like getting rockers for TFS heads. So what's your opinion guys, and I've tried doing a search

Cant go wrong. There stage 2 or 2.5 are just as good as most aftermakets. My $1300 heads are going strong for more than 4years without even a spring change.

I have been running a set of TEA 5.3 stage 1.5 heads for the last 90,000 miles..they are milled down to a 59 cc chamber and I run Cometic .040 head gaskets for a nice tight quench...engine is a LS1 puting down 452/418..great set of heads (flow 316 cu ft @ .600 lift) at a bargan price compared to some other high dollar heads that put down the same flow bench numbers.

Man there sure are some happy owners of the TEA heads.

So you just send in a bare set of 243/799 heads to TEA and they build/port them to what stage you want? I'm looking at either the ls6 2.5 or 3 for my 408, hmmm....

Friend had them do a set of stage 1 243s. The final flow numbers exceeded what they advertise on their website, throughout the lift range. Whatever they did to tweak their exhaust profile worked. The exhaust flow numbers were incredible. Not installed yet, so no dyno numbers.
