Default 228R install idle problems

Hi guys,
So far I've found everything I needed on here from searching. Awesome site. However, I just finished up my first cam install and am having troubles getting the car to idle on its own. Here is before the install:

98 T/A
long tubes
AIR and EGR delete
magnaflow catback with ORY
LS6 intake manifold
25% Underdrive pulley
New corvette O2 sensors
New plugs
New wires
Frost Mail order tune

Installed:
comp 228R 114 cam
comp 7.400 hardened pushrods
New springs
LS2 timing chain

I can only get the car to run at 1500 rpm or higher. I tried drilling out the tb very slightly, only about .020 larger though. I plan on getting a tune so I did not want to mess with drilling too much. I also adjusted the tb position screw up but still cannot get the car to idle. Multiple backfires and dies when I do not hold the gas at 1500 rpm or more. Is it simply a tune issue? Thanks.

Yes, you need a tune. DO NOT drill your TB any more,

Agreed, a good tune should do the trick! No more drilling!

Backfiring to me also sounds like you have a set of coils not plugged in all the way or damaged the harness to them...possibly plug wires.

Look over it just to be sure.

I installed this same cam last year, without a tune I had to open the throttle some when cold so it would stay running but after it warmed up it wouldnt stall. I drove it like that for a few weeks before I could get a tune too. Dont know if youre an A4 or M6, if you dont have a stall that would make a difference too. I wouldnt drill the TB, a good dynotune will fix it.

I checked it over and thunderstruck was partly right-one plug wire was not fully pushed onto the plug. Fixed that and the car will idle now, although pretty rough, but as expected. Still a fair amount of backfiring tho so I want to pull the plugs and check them when I get the chance. I'm about 30 mins from Flint, where did you get yours tuned FlintWrench?

I may be worng as rain, but the pushrod length looks wrong to me - like why isn't it more like 7.425?
