So I ended up with a great deal here on a forged LS1 with Diamond 10+ dome pistons, etc... Seller also provided me a set of 317 heads that were just cleaned up at the machine shop ready for a build. While I am sure I can spend $3K on a set of ideal heads I am building on a budget here and not worried about leaving 10RWHP on the table. Do I have a shop build/mill these heads for $900 or is there a better option? I already have Patriot golds so springs are nothing just looking for a good head for the price. Plan on tossing a 150 shop at this car on occassion

i wouldn't spend 900 on stock 317s dude might as well pick up some used afrs or trick flows on here used for a little more.

900 seems a hell of a lot when you can pick up ls6 cnc stage 1. heads for 1100

Thats why I am looking at options. If for $300-$400 more I can gain $20RWHP more from my setup with a different head then so be it. But if all I gain is 5RWHP I will just build up the 317's and have them milled to .70cc for 11.4:1 static.
