Default knock sensor

I got a code 332, so I took off the intake and replaced both knock sensors. The one on the back was almost rusted were you could not get it out.Cleaned up the hole and built the dam around them. Code was reset. Now I get both knock sensor codes 327 and 332. checked wires they are ok. Did I get bad sensors? Or is it something else? The truck had the code when I bought it.

Did you buy the sensors from Autozone? I usually swap the harness and both sensors with new GM pieces as it is common for the harness to corrode when it gets wet.

Even the diagnostic literature states that if you get both codes at once the harness is suspect #1.

another thing that is very important is to be sure you torque them to spec,,,i believe it is 17 ft. lbs, its not much. if you overtorque them it can throw the codes,,i know it sucks i went thru this, ended up buying gm sensors and a new harness no more problems. sucks though cost me a hundred bucks. something else i do is gorilla tape the harness so it is flat on top of the valley and can not move around.

I usually like to buy the Delco sensors just for piece of mind, as false knock or delayed knock detection are both things I'd rather avoid. You will likely be fine with the sensors you bought and just need to change the harness.
