Default Help with cam please

I has tsp 408 stroker 9.4 to 1 compression ratio with afr 225 heads and fast 102 intake and throttle body rite now I have the tsp magic stick 3 cam in the motor to break it in. I am going to turbo this setup running about 10 to 15 lbs of boost will this cam be ok or do I need to put another one in it. If I need another cam let me know what you recommend

That cam was designed to be ran all motor. When running boost you need a cam with little to no overlap otherwise known as a blower cam. So yes you will need a different cam. I would put the correct cam in the first time around unless you like tearing down the motor and accessories.

The Ms3 is not an ideal boost cam. It has too much overlap which would bleed off boost. The last boost cam I specced for a 408 was a 230/236 592/602 114 LSA +3. Lots of low end power to get you into boost and no overlap.

When you get some free time give us a call & we can discuss what your goals are. I bet we can help you put together a custom grind camshaft that will meet your goals.
