Had customers Absolute Stg II Heads flowed, 285 cfm?
I had a set of absolute speed stg 2 heads a customer brought in flow tested at our local flowbench. Weve had stock heads flowed and a few mild port jobs that flowed 280, TEA heads flowing 300 etc..
Anyone else had absolute heads flowed ???

The heads I sent to so cal. were JFm's old heads, they are my original prototypes that are over 2 years old and no were near advanced as my newer stg2 heads and the customer was told this before he purchsed them. I invite anyone with my heads to have them flowed or call thunder racing and ask them for flow numbers on the last set of 5.3's I did for shane. You will find I am the only porter who advertised flow numbers are within 1-2 cfm on thunders bench. My new stg2 heads are adverised at 311cfm At .600 and I have the dyno's to back them up

Those are some really old heads!! I believe they also made 400 rwhp in a 98 ss a4 car with a tr224 cam and flp headers through stock SS exhaust 2 years ago. That car went 11.0`s with them. Are they good? well concidering I still see a4 cars posting dynos with simular cams making 400 rwhp I guess they work. Not to mention I think he paid just about half of what a new set of AS heads cost it was a pretty good deal.

Ahh ok, well the guy that bought them from you frequents the shop and was just curious on their flow #'s before he bolted them on. I didnt realize they were an old set and i didnt mean to offend, it was just a honest flow test and i was curious on why we got low #'s (i wasnt familar that your new heads were better thna the old).
Also, I just went over some stuff with him and he showed me where you "went through and did the new stg2 revisions". Which i could tell because there freshly ported spots on the head on a few spots but alot of it had not been touched since used.
If they were upgraded to "new stg2 spec" wouldnt they flow what the new stg2's flow? (This is just me curious)

c4vettels1 they were not upgraded at all that is why they were $800 shipped to cali. they were only touched up in some areas to get a little bit more flow. those heads were done around 2 years ago when he 1st started. his newer heads have a completely different port design. plus the customer who bought those heads was told not to go bigger then a 224 cam. for they were older test heads. dont forget too those heads went 11.04 in jfm's car and dyno'd around 400 almost 2 yrs ago. If you thought the heads flowed lower you should have called Jay to get the info on those heads before posting up here. give Thunder racing a call if you want to see what his heads have been flowing in the past few months.

Ack, i hope its not me starting it....I made sure to mention i was just asking, im not claiming anything negative toward absolute at all.. But is it ok for me to post flow #'s when i do something???? and i believe my original post said "Anyone else had absolute heads flowed ???" not "These heads suck!" or "They told me it was supposed to flow 300+!"
Dont get so defensive guys....

Well what do you guys think, I have a pair of TEA 1.5's as well.
This is going on a 408" stroker, 238/248, .608 lift XE-R cam, bolt ons, Huge amount of nitrous...
run these absolutes or run the TEA's?
Heres the flow #'s for the Absolute Stg II's here:
Lift intake Exhaust:
300 205.5 152.6
400 253.8 181.2
500 282.7 196.4
600 284.9 205.7
