Default Stuck lifter

(1999 camaro ss) Im pretty sure i have a collapsed lifter and i pulled the intake and head. The lifter that i believe is the collapsed lifter is stuck but the lifter is sticking out about a 1/2 inch. Btw im doing this with the motor inside the car.. Should i just keep trying to pull it out by hand?

No. If the lifters won't come out without force it may be damaged and not collapsed. Removing it from the top could damage the lifter bore. Pull the cam and drop the lifter out the bottom. Its more work but could save your block.

Agreed with vettenuts, It really sucks but the cam is probably damaged anyway if the lifter is. Good luck with it
