Default what cam?

I am building a 72 camaro putting a 5.3 in it with stock heads also going to carb and intake it , What cam should I go with? I am going to drive the car on the street but want it to rip.

TR224 or possibly something from Cam Motion, maybe their:

C33-666 LS Hydraulic Roller Camshaft; 224'/228', .595"/.595", 112'+4'; 1,900 to 5,900 RPM

does anyone know if i can put the t rex cam in my car without any problems i have a ls1 with ls6 heads

you don't need a big cam to make it rip.torque smokes the tire or lack of suspension.you will need a custom cam EPS,worth it for $25 more or a wide band and a good tuner on the dyno.comp 54-455-11 for a heavy truck,should rip in a 3500 lb car.

224/228, 109+2 LSA, assuming headers and exhaust.
