Default 383 build need some advice....

i want to start building a 383 ls1, i plan on gettin a balanced rotating assembly from tsp, what needs to be done to the block to prep for a stroker package, will the longer stroke require a smaller core camshaft. i already have a torquer v2. what bearings to use and what rings? any and all advice is appriciated. thanks

Take a look at these articles:

There are 4 articles plus an epilogue. They go step by step on what they had to do.

You won't need a smaller cam core, the same cam would work in that motor if you wanted to put it in there. Typically we would step up in cam from the torquer v.2 in a 383, it would be a tad bit small depending on what you are doing.

Also most of our rotating assemblies leave with Wiseco pistons. All Wiseco piston sets include a GFX steel top ring with a napier 2nd. We have had nothing but good luck with this package and I recommend grabbing that setup if you do get the assembly from us.
