Default Cam Help Please

I have a 98 Z28 Camaro. 3.73 gears in rear, pacesetter LT's, ORY, borla catback, and whisper lid. The car has 140,000 miles on it, is a cam a good or bad idea? Also should I do a new intake and throttle body first? The car is built for the street as it also has bilstein's all the way around, panhard bar, sfc's and LCAs. So I want a streetable cam and nothing outrageous. Getting tuned after cam also. Thanks in advance

cam is still a good idea as you will be refreshening half the motor. a cam with an intake duration less than 228 will be a good cam for you. a comp cams grind that comes to mind is 228 232. or eps grind 226 230.

Go to the dyno section and start looking. Many fun and streetable offerings. Do not go just by cam #'s and lobe design make a big difference and people often do not see that. EPS has been making some decent power and I would have you consider them. I have a Vengence VRx4 228/230 which is very fun as well.

The car is an A4 but I just built the trans 2 months ago. It has been fully upgraded with beast shell, servo's etc. The only thing I did wrong is I put a new replacement stock converter instead of putting a stall while I had it out *dumbass*

Butt, with cam upgrade I will be putting a stall in as pulling the tranny isn't that big of a job.

You might give us a call, we have tons of different options but it's best to discuss the car in detail before selecting a camshaft.

The good news is we have a crazy nice special going on the TSP camshafts right now!!
