Default LS3 Style heads on LS1....

I was on Mast motorsports site and they had LS3 Style heads setup to fit the smaller bore LS1....

Is there anyone else out there offering small bore square/rectangle port heads?

As far as I know, they were the only ones. I think its a great idea but in the end there are so many options for heads once you get to the 4.000" bore as seen in LS2's and the slightly bigger LS3's

I always expect my LS1 to break and the fear of spending good $$$ and just to spend it again when a 400+ cube motor going in can be annoying.

GMHTP did a article on the heads and made good power. I think the cam was a bit on the tame side but comparible to some other LS1 offerings.

I NEED to run an aluminum block in a swap I'm working on(weight distribution/handling reasons)
I happen to have a bare LS1 block.

I have a set of stock length Callies rods for said LS1

Just need pistons and I'm well on my way to a stout bottom end...

Problem is I have 853 heads.

I'm thinknig of running those and picking up some 243s to have ported later..but I like the cheaper intake manifolds for the square port heads,

What to do.....
