Well, there are two sides to every story. The guy is posting on internet boards and has not even talked to PP. That's pretty messed up to do that.

What is the "other" side? IF PP steps up and does a new motor, heads, labor, etc, great, but regardless, I'd hate to have those same heads sitting on my motor right about now, if that is indeed what caused the motor to fail (which it appears to have been the case), IMO.

I think it was wrong of him to post up about it , but he's understandingly upset.
This would ruin anyone's next few months.
He should talk to PP first & he realized it.
If you look at the post he was wanting to keep this on the D/L for now so he can talk to Terry.
There a right way to go about it & a wrong way....
All he can count on is that they do the right thing.

If you are into modifying cars, then you have to learn that parts will fail. Does not matter what shop it is. Do you think MTI, Cartek, More, ect. has never has a failure?? It will happen, that's the name of the game. Accept it or get out of the hobby. I can understand if someone wants to post something about a sponsor if an incident happens that is the proven to be the shops fault, and they don't take responsibility. Or it becomes a pattern. That has not happened in this case. See how it plays out before posting for all the world to see. PP hasn't even heard about it yet for christs sake.

Thats easy to say when its not your car. And I agree, but if the heads are faulty, its a little harder to swallow, IMO.

Funny how its "****" and "gonna get ugly". No need for that, just need to get to the bottom/find the cause/find the solution. Posted as an FYI, and a heads up. If the same heads I have had a catastrophic failure causing major engine damage, I'd like to know about it, and would like to think it wouldn't be swept under the table. Terry has stepped up in the past, we at least have to give him a chance to do he right thing (if indeed it was caused by the heads).

I hope PP stands behind their work and replaces his motor. Me and 2 other friends are looking into getting the same heads next week.

Another example of the same exact thing happening, removed at the request of the person it happened to, awaiting a resolution.

NOT GOOD.

who was the person that diagnosed the welded heads caused the problems, this is the first i've heard about this from the tons of heads patriot has on the market. Its easy to point fingers, lets give it time to make sure that the heads were responsible before you try and make terry replace someone's motor. What cam was in the car? who did the installation? were 1500 of the 3000 miles track miles? any other damage? There are a lot of variables to this. Asking for a replacement set of heads in 1 thing. Asking for compensation for towing, gas, rental car, new motor, time off work, etc is pushing it... IMO of course. Regardless i hope all works out for you and you get the car back on the road asap. Good luck sorry to hear about your misfortune.

That sucks...

Is this kind of thing something that is caused by faulty valve seats or by a faulty valve seat install?
