New to head studs... Can u reuse ls head studs?

Default New to head studs... Can u reuse ls head studs?

I have a chance to buy used ls2 head studs... And im new to studs... But my question is can you reuse head studs? i know you cant reused head bolts due to stretching thanks

you should be able to,are they ARP?

Yeah, but i just found out there sold.... but i never thought to buy them use.. There so much more expensive then old sbc and BBC ... If i can find used ones it would be a nice penny saver lol

Factory bolts you cant reuse. You can reuse ARP studs and bolts.

Someone told me ls1/ls6 head studs are different from ls2 studs is this true? i htought they were the same

They are different, but ts more of a model year thing, than an engine family thing. The pre-2004 LS blocks use 2 different length head bolts, where the post-2004 are all the same length.
