Default comp cam 212 218--560 lift on a 115 lobe

i have 03 zo6 valve springs will they be fine or should i buy 918's???


this cam is going in my wifes yukon denali 6.0 only going to rev to 6000 rpm

I say run the LS6 springs.

I would go with Comp 918s...you're pushing the limit with the 02 LS6 springs.

I think the LS6's would be almost to their rated peak, and would go either way.
That cam is not very much bigger than a LS6 cam.
The 918's would be safer.

You'll need 918's with that cam. That cam has the XE lobes, LS6 springs don't like XE lobes.

Go with the 918's. Its not worth floating a valve

OK, go with the 918 springs. I'm running that lift cam on 918s.

Doesn't GM run the ASA cam with LS6 springs?

I'd be concerned with valve float on LS6 springs, but with only 6000 rpms... Just a thought / question.
