Hey wussup guys im looking for a set of heads that I can make about 450-460rwhp with. So far I have done to the car is ls6 intake,ms3 cam, longtube headers, o/r y pipe, corsa exhaust, ported tb, 3.73 gears, 125 shot nitrous. Im switching intakes to the bbk ssi intake here in about a month but im looking for a set of heads that will get me to about 450-460rwhp with the timing tooken out for the nitrous. Help needed. I have an 02 z06 with an ms3, prc stage1 ls6 heads and ported fast 90/90 that made 469-415. I dont think you can run the stage 2.5 ls6 heads with an ms3 without flycutting, the bigger valves will hit.

I've got PRC 2.5 5.3 heads and they seem to do pretty well. Car ran 11.01@123 last week with a small 3600 stall and that was at 3300 pounds. The car made 429 with the converter unlocked through a 12 Bolt with 4.10's. I could have spent more and went with a better head but I like them because they were cheap and effective.

I think it depends a lot on your budget. The best set of heads we can offer for that cam would be our 215/227 aftermarket casting. Aftermarket casting heads offer a thicker deck so you have more clearance to work with as far as valve size and combustion chamber size.
I ran our stg 2.5 MS3 heads with the MS3 and I thought it worked out great. I had great driveability and gobs of power when I needed it. Our stg 1 LS6 heads will also work but I prefer to see people run the 5.3l heads. The smaller runner and combustion chamber really stretch out the low end power on that cam.

John, I originally was going to do an LS6 head per many peoples recommendations but when I spoke with you on the phone you pointed me to the 5.3 head. Needless to say I'm 100% satisfied with that advice and never got to thank you. My MS3/5.3 head combo works great and has tons of power on a small budget.
