Default Will a truck intake support a 383?

I am in the process of building a 383 and was wondering, will the stock truck intake flow enough? I am also considering building a 409, which would put a greater load on the intake. Of course both of these motors would be spun past 6,300.
I think a 383 would be perfect for the intake, with a little bottle of course. Anyway, what do ya'll think? Would a reverse-split cam work better for truck intakes, even with the motor being on spray?
P.S. I am 98% sure I will build the 383.

Reverse split cams and spray don't mix well. The truck intake will do OK but, when spinning over 6K, the LS6 intake will be better. Look at the FAST results as another choice. I'm pretty sure you're trying to stay away from modifying your accessories and if that's the case and you still have some money after your build, I'd seriously consider the Nasty Performance sheet metal intake w/ fuel rails. Big money but also big gains.

I'm curious about this also. Has anyone done actual flow tests to compare the LS1, LS6, and truck intakes? Roughly how much power would be left on the table by sticking with the truck intake rather than the LS6/LSX intake on a 383 or 408?

I was pretty sure that the reverse split cam and juice would come back a big negative. However, what about on just motor. There is a post that compares intakes but I can't seem to find it. I will stick with the truck intake but, I had nothing to do at work and was thinking.

Here is what I can tell you. I built two 427 engines for a marine application and they made 600 horse at the fly wheel with the truck intake and pulled up to 6800 rpm. I think that you will be fine with the truck intake.

Chris Enders did some testing with the LS1, LS6 & truck intakes. The LS6 outflowed the truck intake in his testing by a fair margin. Really one of those new LSX intakes wih a 90mm TB would probably be just the ticket for most power with your stroker.
