Default 224r cam on a 110 lsa anyone ever ran this or thought about it?

just wondering if it would make good power and where it would peak. would it pull stock 3.42s in a m6 pretty well? would it perform just as well as the 224 cams on the 112 and 114lsa. just trying to stay close to the stock powerband. any opinions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Pat G did a 224/228 110 straight up. He did a thread called torque coming out of my ears!!! Lots of good info. Look it up in the search.

Yes, we have tried such 224 grinds, 110+4 LSA, gobs of early midrange trq, strong powerband from 3000>6200 rpm. Fun cam on a heavy car. Nice little thump too

thanks for this info. glad to see someone else has tried this too. so would it be a good street cam? would it still perform well or would it lose too much up top?

Should sound a lot like a 228/228 112lsa, since they both have 4* of overlap.

BTW, PREDATOR-Z knows his ****, he's very helpful with choosing a cam!

There was a guy a while back (2003-2004 maybe) who ran one +4 and made really good numbers. Great cam for someone who doesn't want to rev too far past 6500.

sorry to hijack, but how hard would a cam with these specs be to tune? how would it work in a regular cab 2wd truck with a 3k stall?

from what little info i have been able to get on it, seems like the tune isnt bad. the overlap on this cam is only 4*, looks like from a couple of things ive read the tune and driveablility would be pretty good for a street cam.

If you are contemplating such a cam, here is what I would run:

226/226 .609/.581 111+2 LSA
Same 4* overlap, plenty midrange trq.

i dont doubt anything you have to say on cam recommendations, i know you know your **** about that. im saving those cam specs right now.

you like that one better than the 224 cam on the 110 lsa? better overall power???

thanks for the recommendation, thats kinda what i was fishing for. lol
