Does the installed height need to be set when changing to GMPP springs?

Does the installed height need to be set when changing to GMPP springs? I was thinking about changing the cam to the GMPP Hot Cam, or LS6 cam in my 98 LS1. The springs are required to change as well. Do you just install the springs since they are a GM part without setting any installed height? I'm kind of new to LSx and I know the old stuff, you had to install springs with shims so the height would be right. Thanks
