Default PRC 227 heads, lifter & pushrod question

I bought a set of PRC 227 heads earlier this week and I could not find much info on lifter & push rods setups. I will be running MS4 cam, Yella Terra rocker with the stock 1.7 ratio with LS7 lifters. Now I know I can run LS7 lifters with the stock length push rods 7.40. Now will the new 227 heads affect my push rods or will my 7.40 work ? just want to get a general idea what people are running.

Thanks !

you need to measure for pushrod length. They can differ from engine to engine. Safest bet is to measure. Thats what I'm doing with my 227's and MS4

Measuring is definetly a good idea. U should also give Texas Speed a call and tell them what your valvetrain setup is and they could give you a good idea on what length pushrod youll need.

The 227's have a thicker deck like tfs. So if everything in a perfect world you would be at a 7.5 pushrods. The ls7 lifters i beleave use less preload. Your probably looking at 7.475 to 7.5 rods. Spend the $20 and measure.
