The block is a bigger concern than the heads, so go for the 6.0L gaskets.

The gasket always matches the bore .

Sometime people use 4.000 bore gasket in their LS1 3.900 bore , I dunno know why but maybe because of having larger valves (2.04 or more) , that what I thought .

Anyone have another reason ?

Whether it is cylinder bore or head chamber bore, you always follow the biggest. I hope it clears this.
Expl: 6.0 heads on 5.7 motor, use 6.0 gasket; 5.3 head (stock) on 5.7 motor, use 5.7 gaskets etc....

Yep you want all of that gasket to be covered to avoid turning into hotspots is what I've heard if your using the MLS.

What about having 243 ported heads with 6.0L gasket ? what reasons make this happen ?

You want the fire ring in the gasket always enclosed.. If its inside the chamber it will burn up. If you use a 5.7 gasket on a 6.0 block, the fire ring would protrude inside the cylinder....=burn up. All this is important for the fire ring. If its exposed from top or bottom its dead.

Same with like using 6.0 heads on a 5.3L The head chamber is bigger than the bore, so you want to make sure the fire ring is enclosed....you'd need 6.0 gaskets.
