Question Head Gasket part# for 98 ls1?

I just bought a 98 ls1 and never repalced the head gasket on this year.I want to know the head gasket part number for this year ls1.I want to use the MLS steel Head gasket's tho.Anybody know if you can?I read you can't,but would like to know for sure.I found this part number but not sure wich one it is.

You should be fine with the 12498544 they are MLS.

98 heads with the notch usually leak coolant with the MLS gaskets unless something has changed. I haven't tried to use them in quite a while.

If you are going back with '98 heads you have to run the graphite gaskets. If you are putting a newer head on it, you will be fine with MLS gaskets.

I read if you use the Mls they will leak coolant.The head castings are 803's.Thing is that My brothers 98 z28 had some Mls Head gaskets installed from previous owner,dont remember any coolant leaks.
