Default How much to port and polish a BBK intake?

I will soon be getting a BBK SSI intake. I have been reading about how they have plenty of room for porting and was wondering if anyone has any idea what it would cost to have it professionally ported and polished? This is my first mod, but later I do plan on possibly doing heads and cam as well. Anyway what kind of moola am I looking at dishing out for this?

No rough estimates or ideas. I figure a few of you guys may have already had it done or work at a machine shop.

The SSI is pretty smooth inside, a little minor clean up, port match when you get higher flow heads, and open up the TB inlet slightly so you can fit a 90mm TB (edelbrock).

IMO, if you got the tools open the intake up and do the minor clean-up yourself and enlarge the inlet, otherwise take it to a good shop/machine shop and have them do it.

The only thing I did to mine is a minor clean-up inside, and right inside the inlet and I run a slightly ported BBK 85mm TB.

I'd also start contacting some of the sponsors that sell the BBK SSI intake, and see if any of them do porting of it. I'm sure the price will vary quite a bit depending on how extensive the porting is.

Good luck!
