Default What should be written on the cam?

Just got my custom specked cam from Ed Curtis; Comp Cams ground it, and I got the cam card from Ed, but was curious what should be written on the cam itself. There is a number on it, can't recall what it is off the top of my head, but it's something like a 6 to 8 digit number. What does that number mean?

It is likely the serial number of the cam that Comp grinds on it. Usually it is a letter, followed by 4 numbers, a dash, and two more numbers.
