Default Sponsors - sell me some main and rod bearings!

Hi! I need some new main and rod bearings for my freshly rebuilt LS1 and wasn't sure of what to go with. It is a stock cube rebuild with a .005 cleanup. It will have Diamond dished pistons and 6.125" Scat I-beam rods. I plan on pushing 650rwhp on a stock crank. Don't plan on spinning it far past stock redline if any at all.
What kind of bearings will I need for this build? Had the stock rod bearing on the #1 cylinder spin like a top and take off about .05" of the old crank. Feel free to make some suggestions. ACLs? Clevites? Federal Moguls? Help me keep this from happening again

Are you going to grind the pins -10? I would go with the ACL or Clevite, ACL is cheaper.

I honestly don't know. I'm guessing I would have to ask my engine builder. I'm a bit of a newbie to all of this and am learning as I go.

Pins are what they call the rod journals of the crank.. Lookin at that crank I doubt it can be re-used, looks pretty deep and I dont think .010 will clean that up at all. I used the new king allecular pro bearings in my stroker, heard alot of good about them from racers.

I have a different used crank that is good shape already there. The stocker was toast. He already confirmed that the newer crank that I gave him was good so I just have to get new bearings.

Well if that's the case, your engine builder should have bearings in stock, or have access to a deal on them.

He doesn't have any LS1 bearings in stock and he said I could probably get a better deal on them through people here than he could direct from Clevite.

I went to the local O'reillys and I got rod and main bearings and rings from them and it was all Sealed Power stuff. Cost me 200 for all of it.

Need to find out what caused it in the first place. Typically, bearings don't just go bad and spin. There's a problem lurking elsewhere that needs to be addressed first or the new bearings could meet the same fate.

Ended up going with the Clevite Ps. Just needed standard size

Would ~8-9,000 RPM on all stock internals do it? Let's just say that shifting to 2nd when you mean to hit 4th doing 85 is NOT a great idea. Bent a pushrod to hell, the #1 piston and valve made friends, and the bearing spun like hell. The only parts from the old motor being used are the bare block and rocker arms.
