Default Freshening up an engine...

I have a 98 ls1 in my formula with almost 130k on the clock, runs great but I'm doin a cam swap soon and wanna give it a little more love. What would you guys recommend doing to breath some new life into it and freshen it up with the cam?

Alright, yea..I figured I'd do the ls2 timing chain, ported oil pump, and ls2 lifters along with the pushrods and valve springs. Honestly, I dont know..just wanna get some of the age outta it haha. What about seafoming it or something to get some carbon out?

JEE-ZUZ-KEE-RICED........................when the hell are people going to stop using SeaFoam to clean their friggin top ends. What the hell.........
SeaFoam is complete **** for cleaning a top end.......

Go to a Dodge dealer and buy MCCC (Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner) and do it right for the same price.

Go to the General Maintenance section and read that thread thats there on the first page.

Lol, sounds like lots! I knew you couldn't reuse the gaskets but I didn't know you couldn't reuse the bolts. I think I'm just gonna hold off on the lifters then until I put new heads on so I dont do it twice

Just the chain unless your sprockets are missing teeth or have severe wear
