Default 383 guys!! come in

I will be purchasing a 383 rotating forged assembly very soon and I will be getting a custom grid cam to match whatever heads I choose. the car is an A4 with a 3600 stall.

Question : what heads would you all suggest? I was thinking some Dart Pro's 225cc... I dont really want to spend over 2k on heads, I would love to find some used ones and will be checking the classifieds often.

My goal is 450+ HP and TQ if possible and a 7.00 1/8 mile

look for some used tfs 215 or afr 205/225 small bore heads or send some 243's to AI. Your goals should be easily accomplished

I have not dynoed my 383 yet, but these heads I have on it are the PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads when I had them on my stock shortblock with my custom EPS cam and a fast 92 I put 463 RWHP and 428 ft lbs on texas speeds dyno.

honestly, dont waste your time with cheap heads. i would recomend prc 5.3's or ls6's over the patriots if you really want to stick to a budget tho.

i thought the after market heads had bigger castings and that was something i was going to need possibly? or is that only if i spray or something? That was the only reason i was not looking at LS6 or 243's but not because im against them by any means.
