Default LS6 valves? Have you bought a set new or used??? what are they worth?

I have a set new never ran in the boxes. Had them touched up (45 seat, intake a backcut) there strait with no runout ready to install. Just haven't used them in any heads, and have been sitting in valve boxes.

Scoggin has the extaust valve (P/N 12565312)
EXHAUST VALVE, 2002 LS6 SODIUM FILLED
listed for $40.66 a valve (MRSP is $50.67).

They show the intakes valve (P/N 12565311)
INTAKE VALVE, 2002-04 LS6 HOLLOW STEM $29.07 each
But I think they are discontinued, I know there were 1-2 years ago I was looking for a set.

Has anyone sold a set, used or even NIB, or know what they would sell for? I really don't know what I ask for them? How much people are looking for them, I searched around and didn't find many set of just the valve selling and what they were sold for? ($)

If I were looking for a set (which I may pretty soon) I wouldn't hesitate if you asked for $200 for the intake valves. I've seen them go for anyhwere from $125-175 used though.

ya, that what I was thinking around. There a really good valve for the money, i just dont think guys look into buying them, and you know thats only what there worth.
LS6 valve weights
64.5g int.
74.5b ext.

stock valves are
87.5g
101g

You can get a ti valve thats not much lighter. But cost $100-$120 for ONE valve. $1,600-$1,900 But you can get a larger valve too, of you have the head ported for it max effort
62.Xg
73.Xg

I have a full set of int/ext never used, ready to go. I found a lot of WTB threads for guys looking for a set. Only a few guys selling just the valves, and most of them dont have the price anymore (SOLD)

i won a whole set off ebay including the springs for around $45,when i say set i mean whole set for one head, they are def. unused and perfect, but now im stuck with finding another set for other head or buying new if still available,i may start contacting some engine builders, think thats going to be my best bet

FWIW, I bought a set of brand new LS6 take outs (both intake and exhaust) for 125 plus shipping on this board about a year or so ago. May that have been an once in a lifetime deal? Most likely. But just a heads ups.

Yeah, it just doesn't seem like too many people concern themselves with valve weight. There are enough out there that do, so I don't think you'd have too much of a problem moving them though. Good luck to ya.

Both sets I got were around a buck fifty each. I want to say I paid $150 (local) and $165 for a shipped set but I can't remember for sure. The other 2 sets I bought came with 243 heads so they were a bit more.

Not to hijack anybodies thread, but I have a full engine set of Intake and Exhaust that were takeouts, and when I worked at SLP we weighed them compared to stock LS1 valves and saw they were very light. I wound up buying a complete set of heads for the car and did not use them, they are still in the sealed bag that I received them in. If anybody is interested, I will sell them for $185 shipped to the lower 48 states. I also have a new set of Manley intake valves with tapered stems (under the head of the valve) that I'd sell as well. They would be $140 shipped in the lower 48 states, remember the Manley valves are only 8 not 16, INTAKES only. These are NOT prices if Paypal is used !!!
