Default ? on replacing valve seats/seals for Patriot dual springs

I have the Patriot Gold 8401 dual valve spring kit that I am installing on my stock 2002 LS1 heads. The stock valve springs/seals are an integrated "top hat" unit, and the valve seat & seal are separate pieces in the Patriot kit. I tapped the seal onto the valve guide until it "sounded" like it wouldn't go any further, and didn't seem to move and more, and there is a small gap in between the seal and the seat. I know the spring pressure will keep the seat in place, and the seal took a good bit of force to get over the valve guide - but I wanted to make sure they were installed correctly before putting the springs on.

(If you look inside the seal closest to the camera, it looks to me like there is a lip that is flush with the valve guide?)

Thanks!
