Default What stall for my trex cam?

I am about to buy a custom stall for my car and the guy at the shop recommend a 4500 stall but he told me I would also be ok with a 4000 its up to me what I want but he was pushing the 4500 since the car is only a weekend driver and see's the track a few times a year. I just was curious what your thoughts were? Would the cam like the 4500 better?

I have full bolt ons and its thru a th400 trans.

I have the T rex as well, I have talked to Yank and circle d both and they both pretty much said you need the 4000, but you need to be careful street driving with it getting hot.. I myself am going with the single clutch 4000-4200 from circle d because Chris was awesome to deal with and they have the billet front cover...

This car is more my toy than anything else its mostly driven on the street but when I drive it I beat it to hell and go to the track a few times a year. I also like to go to car shows and cruise around now and then so I want it streetable not all out race car if that makes any sense. That is why I was leaning towards the 4000 stall but the guy at the shop was pushing the 4500 so I was torn between which to choose. I guess I could always go in the middle and get a 4200 made?

I was also told with a good size trans cooler heating problems should not be a problem.

Circle D makes the perfect converter for our cam, it flashes at 4200 and is still pretty streetable... I just ordered mine tonight...
Contact Chris at circle d and he is really sharp... They are a sight sponsor...

I ended up getting a custom built stall from a race shop in my area who seemed to know alot. They suggested a 4000 stall and it has anti balloon plates for when I add nitrous and billet covers. Can't wait to get it in there and see the difference.

ive daily driven my 4000k stalled th400/trex car for years with no problems. my transmission cooler has a dedicated fan so it certainly helps a lot. i had neal chance build my nitrous 4000k stall converter also with daily driving in mind when i called them and told them what i was looking for. they set me up right.

Just got my custom 4000 stall installed today and I am very happy with it. Going from my 3000 to 4000 was night and day I can't believe the difference it made. Just thought I would follow up on here.
