Default Gone & Done it ;) I jumped in!

Sooo... I ordered my cam package from TSP today! I have an 04 GTO M6 that is all stock except for stg2 clutch, lightweight flywheel, k&n cai, & msd wires. Car has 94k miles and still runs like a top.

Hopefully weather permitting I'll get my baseline dyno run tomorrow. I went with the torquer v.2 112LSA w/PAC .650 single springs for peace of mind. I was actually really dissapointed because going by their website it says you can use the springs with the MS3 which is like .603/.6xx lift but when I called they said that they def would not recommend that. When he told me he wouldn't run it on his I took that as a definite no no.

Also slapping on a set of stock 2003 Z06 243's w/8k miles to refresh the top end and help me with my numbers a little.

Any of you guys have to say about the torquer v.2? seems pretty popular but will I be disappointed? Any idea what the tuner should/can tune that cam to rpm wise?

Good choice man! The TSP Torquer 2 is a good size cam for a daily driver car. I honestly wouldnt go any smaller than that.

Im interested in seeing your numbers, I actually considered the same setup (243/799 and V2) for my wife's full bolt on WS6 M6.

As for your RPM question, the tuner will program for what the car wants/makes. Essentially you set your peaks by your head and cam choices, more than tuning.

The torquer v2 is a great choice! I think the reasoning on the springs is because the cam is on comp XER lobes and has VERY agressive ramp rates. As far as rpms, we only ran mine to 6200 because of my high mileage stock 98 bottom end, but i can tell you it was still pulling hard. I would say 6600-6800 would be peak.
