Default 317 head questions

I have a friend that I may be able to get a set of 317 heads from cheap. Altho I know they are basically the same as the LS6 heads but with bigger CC 70-72 vs LS6 66cc?

My question is can i have these heads shaved to get the CC down around the same as the LS6 heads or am I better off picking up the 317's and then trading them or selling them for 243's?

You would need to shave off nearly 0.030 to get them down to the LS6 chamber size... although it's possible, most say it's not worth it.
