Default Need help choosing a stealth cam

Ive been researching a **** load of trying to find the perfect stealth cam. Id like to here your thoughts & experiences.

Heres the criteria:
Must work well with stock 01 manifolds
Must have stock like idle
More power under the curve
No noisey valve train

I know most people will say CHEATR cam but from my research, that cam with it's giant lift needs dual springs which create the noisy valvetrain.

Other's will say the LS6 cam or GT2-3. From my research these 2 cams really dont show any power increase below 4000rpm so there out.

I was thinking of the 215/224 115+5 or maybe the Comp 216/220 115

let me here your thoughts

the eps cams are supposed to be quieter then similar cams with a more aggressive lobe.

That is absolutely incorrect. I have a very aggressive lobe on my cam with dual springs and my valve-train is quiet as a mouse. And, I have heard lots similar.

I did read about this. I was considering having EPS grind me a 215/224 or a 218/224 on a 115+5.

Here are the cams ive been really looking at:
216/220 Comp XR269HR
216/224 115+5 .551/.551 Vinci/Crane "The Boss"
218/224 115+5 SLP cam
214/230 117 Cheatr Cam

I went through this research when I bought my comp 230/230 110lsa XER years ago, I thought that cam was going to be much better than the TR230 or the MTI X1 when in the end, they were extremely similar with power and wasnt worth racking my brain trying to pick the "magic" cam.
All the cams I have been looking at will probably produce very similar number's

i have a TR224 cam with comp 918s, titanium retainers, hardend pushrods, etc...etc... and valvetrain noise wise it sounds stock. i guess it's just all in the setup process. just go with a mild cam and you won't be dissapointed

Perhaps the EPS 214/232 @117ls would work for you with some pac1518
or PSI maxlife beehives........correct pushrod length(lifter preload) is key
to quiet valvetrain on ANY cam............good luck

This was what I was looking at when I was going to go stealth.

Predator Custom 218/224 114+4
MTI's Stealth II 224/220 116+4
TSP 220/220 115+4

All these are still too big for what the OP asked.
The old Crane 210/218-114+4 was ahead by 1600, on a stock LQ9. It peaked at 5600, which is where a stock LS1 peaks.
COMP can grind you this with lift in the low 0.560s, which works with the GM LS6 springs, and is more lift than Crane offered.

Had the MTI StealthII and switched to 218/230 .605/.604 116+2 and picked up 10-15 across the board. This was with headers, but I wouldn't run a reverse split with out them. Call me and we'll get you taken care of with a complete cam kit, Chris 817-750-2000

I made 422 rwhp with the Stealth II, 224/220 116 LSA on a A4 3200Stall.
Exhaust is critical and that is a 4K rpm+ cam. Did low 11s easily.

The 218/230 above would be better suited on a 114+3 LSA

The stealthII was good for 11.5 with stock heads, once ported the intake improved more than the exhaust and I was still running cats. I went 11.2@122 with the MTI and 11.0@124 with my custom sleeper cam, Chris
