Default pinning the crank ?'s

What does pinning the crank do and when do you need to do it, if ever at all?

Pinning keeps the damper from spinning, you won't need to do it unless you're running a supercharger (which puts extra rotational load on the damper).

So... Why would you pin an U.D. pulley? The smaller diameter pulley has even less mechanical advantage than a stock pulley. Just curious on your thoughts for doing this...

It's an aftermarket pulley, have always been told, and always have had the pulley keyed on so it doesn't slip. Security is better than the trouble of having to fix later.
