Default What you all think of this cam on the street...

http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=168&catid=44

Wont be seeing the track for a good while. But wanted some fun on the street. My newest motor has 241 heads, ls6 intake, slp lm1, pacetter headers. Just replaced the springs with the prcs good too a .650 lift. Was wanting to get the 112lsa. This car will be drivin someitmes to play around and maybe 20 miles back and forth from work on days its nice. I know ill need a tune but just to putt around you guys thing it will be ok to drive for awhile and get on it from time to time before the tune?

Thanks all!!

Your gonan want gears......... and a tune right away, if you cant afford a tune right after the cam, then wait to do the cam.

410's or 430's at least. DEFINITLEY a tune or you'll buck and surge enough to want a Cowboy hat. VERY fun cam. I have it on a 112. I daily drive it and love it. Sound clips in the sig.

I drove mine around without a tune for a couple weeks before i could get it on a dyno. It actually behaved pretty well for being a decent sized cam with no tune. But DO NOT get on it at all until it is tuned.

As everyone else said get s tune asap. If your strapped for cash get a mail order from frost. Nice choice on cam btw long as you have the gears it should be fun.

nice choice of a cam, will behave pretty good on the street.
i was torn between the V2 and the MS4 , but i finally went ms4.
like said above , you can drive without a tune at your own risk , but dont go WOT untill you can get a tune.

while your swaping the cam, you might as well swap the oil pump...lingenfelter makes a nice unit that will not break the bank. might as well upgrade the timing chain just to be sure , cant hurt right ?
i know you said you have the prcs springs , you might want to look into pushrods if you havent allready.

i had about 1500 to swap out the motor i found. Well my original plan was too use my valve springs, and cam for the newest motor i bought. BUT two springs were busted, and the cam was chewed up some from the piston i guess. Soooo had to find bout 750 for the new springs, and the newest cam. The oil pump and timing chain will have to come at a later date. But before then it will get tuned about the beginning of the month.
