Suggestions on building up to ~400rwhp on a stock LS1
Attention all LS1 gurus:
I have recently acquired a stock '00 Z28 six-speed w/ 108,xxx miles. We're about done fixing all the normal maintenance things with the car.
The Question: What is the best method to reach ~400rwhp while maintaining a "daily driver" sound and feel?
Budget: ~$1,500
My novice solution was to install intake from lid to intake manifold (SLP lid/TB/LS6 intake), TR224 cam, long tube headers.
Only the following have been installed:
-BOSCH wires/plugs
-Magnaflow Catback
So, LS1TECH, please enlighten me!

itll take more than a cam and CAI to break the 400 mark, a set of PRC heads and cam with a ls6 intake will break that HP mark easily. get even more with a fast intake. Not too long ago I seen a set of PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads on this site for round 700. a cam is 400 and a LS6 intake gets about 250-300 thats in your budget.
