Default does this 382 setup sound good?

Hey all.. I am currently deployed and building a wishlist. I am looking to forge my bottom end within the next year and im leanin towards 382 because i want to keep stock bore. The lunati kit is out of my price range so i am left with two options..

Option 1: Piece together my own kit..

Eagle LS1 Forged Crankshaft
or
Callies LS1 CompStar Crankshaft
from TSP.. Opinions on each?

Mahle Motorsport Forged 382 cid LS1 Dished Piston Set
from TR

LS1 Scat 4340 I-Beam Connecting Rods
from Ws6Store

Or option 2:
There is an ebay kit that runs under 1900.. the only downside to this is the 11:1 CR (with 62cc heads I believe) and i was considering FI in the future.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Obviously Option 1 is going to run me a little more, around 2400 or so with bearings but I know I will be receiving quality parts from reputable sponsors. The ebay kit is an option if I decide to stay NA and just spray instead of FI. This is a budget build or else I would go with the Lunati Kit.

Any comments on this setup or experiences are appreciated. Thanks

dont try to piece it together, it aint gonna save you much if anything, stay with one manufacturer, if you use a callies crank, use callies rods. As far as brands, I stuck with callies because they are a better quality manufacturer, Alot of guys run eagle with no trouble, I just prefer callies, my crank and rods all measured and weighed out perfect on my 383. I would run wiseco pistons, they are the best out there For the same reasons I listed above. These parts I recommend because they are gonna be able to take what you throw at em and last. If you do ever decide to go forced induction you will have to lower your CR in the engine So stick with the bottle, get it dialed in, and keep it reasonable on the spray shot.

does anyone else make a 3.898 piston for a 4.00 stroke and 6.125 connecting rods?

Also, how much better are h-beams vs i-beams?

I don't plan on going insane with the shot, probably about 150 or so and i hear that the stock bottom end can handle that.

Any opinion on Eagle parts? I hear nothing but good things about Callies so I will be checking them out.

Any info or comments on the Ebay kit?

Thanks

If you want to save money go with all eagle stuff. Forget the ebay kit.
