Default ZO6(C6) cam in my 5.3 truck?

I have a chance to pick one up and was wondering has anyone else done this. If so, results?

Thanks

I have seen guys do it. It will pick up some peak power but give up bottom end. I wouldn't do it unless you have a converter of some kind in the truck. If you have a converter and can get the cam CHEAP, it might be something to consider. Just my .02.

Agreed, it's too much for a 5.3 without a converter. If you tow much or want a factory converter I would not recommend it. Other than that, it does pick it up pretty decent on the top end.

Just checked out the specs (that I didn't have) and that is a lot of lift! I thought it was mid/low 500's. I was thinking about the C5 cam. With that said and the fact I do tow and want to keep my factory converter I think I'll pass for the time being.

Thanks!
