Default Oil pump removal for 04 GTO

OK so I want to put the ls2 timing chain on. But lol I'm assuming its required to remove the crossmember, then oil pan, then pickup tube and finally the pump? I don't have any slack but just safety precaution. I'm just wondering how difficult all that is going to be on the ground.

Any input fellas?? Thanks.

Does anyone know can you remove the oil pump with the pan still on or do you have to take the pan off to replace the chain?

you can just loosen the pan and let they front drop down to access the pick up tube bolt. just use a magnet or some string because there is a pretty good chance your gonna drop the bolt

Next quick question, will the ls2 chain for an ssr work or does it have to be a specific 6.0 ls2 chain application?
