Default Cam question

Does a 2000 z28 have an overhead cam or is it on the bottom of the engine. If it has an overhead cam how much expense will go into putting a better performing one in. thanks for any feedback

The LS1 isnt an overhead cam motor. Its got a single cam in the block. A better cam with springs and all needed will be $300-$1200 depending on what parts you go with.

As with most other things, labor usually about equals the cost of the parts.
