Default Help me diagnose this sound!

My son just bought this car and we can hear this ticking type noise coming from the motor, but we cannot locate it. It does seem to be coming from the head area and it increases as the rpms also increase so its possibly something in there.

We have removed the valve cover and everything seems fine there. Here are a few pictures and a movie clip so you can here it for yourselves. Thanks for your help!

BTW This is a H/C car!

I was told it may be a lifter (mine makes the same noise) but I'm not sure... hopefully someone will chime in and have a good answer.

Get a long screwdriver and put your ear to the end at start touching different parts of the engine, valve covers, etc and narrow it down.

That's exactly what we did and what led us to believe its coming from the pass side valve train.

Check the plugs on that side.

loosen the belt tension and have somebody hold the pully so you can check the bearings on the tensioner pullies. pull an push frwd/aft of the pully tensioner, should have no movement/play. spray some oil on the tensioner pullys one at a time. wait a few minutes between each one. hope this helps..... doesn't sound like valve train, but videos never do justice to try to diagnose issues.....
