Default Something different: my off-color 383

Hey guys, I have this build posted over on the truck site but I thought I'd show you guys a pic over here for something different. It's an all-forged iron 383, 9.9:1 and set up for a blower. You may or may not like the color.

Let me know what you think!

For now, it's going into my white 2000 GMC 4x4. It's set up with LT's and a TVS1900 blower. Cam is 228/236 on a 116, CP pistons, Eagle H-beams and Manley crank.

Did you smooth the block? If so what tools did you use? I am working mine with scuffing pads 80 grit on angle grinder and coned sand paper tips.

I did some smoothing, but mainly to remove old paint and surface rust. I used a wire cup and some 3m sanding discs. I also ground the casting imperfections and slag on the oilpan and on the valve covers with an angle grinder but missed the sides of the front cover. I spent a half day grinding and a day painting.

Nice i like it i would have painted the cylinder heads though for that stealth look. Could have even painted them black.
